.: IRRESISTIBLE PLAY SPACES :.

Our motto is “Make it irresistible” and we believe the learning environment

should be presented to children in an irresistible and respectful way.

We will share with you our practical ideas,

using everyday props and materials we all have at hand

to enhance the children’s learning experiences

and encourage them to explore.

We include ideas such as tabletop activities, imaginative play areas

and defining large and small spaces.

.: MESSY PLAY AND CONCOCTIONS :.

Messy play can be indoors or out. It can be sensory or artistic.

It can be planned or spontaneous. It will be irresistible fun!

We will share with you our  tried and true ideas,

using everyday materials

to enhance the children’s learning opportunities

and encourage them to explore.

Concoctions and messy play will engage your children

in a wide range of exciting and new experiences.

.: ENGAGING BOYS :.

Activities that engage boys will be often be enjoyed by girls.

Activities that engage girls aren’t necessarily enjoyed by boys.

Boys and girls brains develop differently.

We look at the differences in boys and girls development

in the early years.

We will share with you practical ideas

to grab the interest of those boys who may be hard to pin down,

those who “just wanna have fun!”

Our Engaging Boys sessions will empower you

to present to your boys a wide range of exciting and new experiences.

.: EVERYDAY SCIENCE :.

Sometimes we feel a little overwhelmed with the thought of teaching science

to young children – we are teachers, not scientists!

But you should still go for it – it is a breeze!

We will share with you our practical, tried and true ideas,

using everyday materials we all have at hand

to enhance the children’s learning opportunities

and encourage them to explore.

Our irresistible science workshops give you the go-ahead

to do science on a regular basis with your children,

whatever their ages, and they will be totally engaged.

.: MINIATURE PLAYSCAPES :.

Imaginative play doesn’t have to be on a large scale –

small is wonderful for one or two children.

We will show you how to create your own miniature world

using a wide range of natural materials;

a mini world that is easily transportable from one spot to another.

We will supply everything you need.

Create it with us then take it back to kinder or school to be played with straight away!

.: THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY BASED LEARNING :.

Play is the basis of all children’s learning.

Play is how children explore and make sense of their world

Each child’s play experience is unique.

Learning should involve long uninterrupted periods of open-ended play.

Play Based Learning does not replace intentional teaching

– rather it compliments and enhances it.

There is no right or wrong in children’s play … there is just play!

There should be no discontinuity in pedagogy

as a child leaves preschool and enters into school.

Children’s brains don’t change because

5 weeks after leaving preschool they arrive in prep.

We will share with you ways you can implement and support

a play based learning philosophy into your early years program.
