::: spring hangings

We both worked at Ellie V. Pullen Kindergarten this week as both staff were away. We had a lovely time together with the beautiful children who weren’t at all fazed being faced with two relievers on the first day of fourth term!

At Ellie V. they have a fabulous bare branch in a tub that they hang various hangings on to reflect the seasons – these were done for Autumn.

Now that Spring is in full swing the children got stuck into brightening up the room with some colourful Spring threadings to add to the branch.

The children are pretty experienced at wielding a needle and thread and didn’t need any help from us.

The end result was a tree starting to blossom and brighten up the room. Aaaah that is starting to look better – Spring has sprung at Ellie V!

    That looks beautiful! And what a lovely idea. I have just been offered a job as teacher in a community preschool, and given the task of boosting the quality of care. So I’ve been collecting ideas for the environment – I think this is a great first few days activity.

    ::: Ooooh Erin how exciting for you … CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy your new job AND enjoy the activity! 🙂 🙂
