::: guttering, tubes, pipes and water
We love the kind of play which develops when the children bring out the guttering, tubes, pipes and water.

So much maths …

So much problem solving …

So much FUN!

It took some of the children a little while to figure out why the water was dissappearing rather than flowing all the way along the guttering.

It was through team work and discussion they worked out that each length of guttering needed to go on top of the next piece of guttering in order to solve the problem.

Proving once again that children are the greatest teachers!

Yay! I find that guttering and water work well with children of all ages – adults too. Thanks for this post – just lovely.
::: Heheehee … Anything to do with water is fun at any age Juliet!

Great post. Lots of problem solving and hours of fun!
::: LOTS of fun indeed ‘OtCK’.

We have been hunting round the internet for creative ideas for the kids holidays and I absolutely LOVE this one – it reminds me of something similar we did with a golf ball instead of water for a team building thing!
The kids will love this, I’m going to try it out the next time the sun comes out – water and kids on a sunny day is a great mix!
