::: tongs and marbles

We have had a very inventive student teacher at our kinder who came up with a simple idea for a sorting and fine motor activity.

She bought a dimpled bath mat very cheaply from the supermarket and added various sized marbles and tongs.

The bigger children went straight to it and really enjoyed moving the marbles around, particularly the huge ones.

Even the toddler who came on duty with his dad was very able and had a great sense of achievement! Thanks Jo for sharing your idea with us!

    I work as an ECE in a full day kindergarten program. This site is a godsend as I collect bits and pieces from around the house to take to school but now they can be used for more than art exploration!!

    ::: That’s terrific Kelly … So glad we can inspire you! 🙂 🙂
