::: would you pay it forward?

A little while ago we received a wonderful parcel in the post  …

all the way from Nashville, Tennessee U.S.A.!

It was from Scott over at the terrific ECE blog Brick by Brick

as part of a blog game called ‘pay it forward’

Now we are going to ‘pay it forward’ SO if you would like to play AND are willing to pay it forward from your own blog, then here is what you do.

Leave a comment on this post, here or our Facebook post, stating that you want to play, and we will randomly choose three players.

You can be from anywhere in the world!!

The rules are:

  • To the three participants we will send a fun package representing Melbourne, Australia but you must be willing to Pay it Forward to three more people.
  • Comments will remain open until Sunday, July 10th.
  • If you are chosen you will need to send us your postal address so we can send you a parcel from Melbourne.
  • After you receive the package you will need to “Pay It Forward” in the same manner on your blog.

This is such a great, fun way to learn about our beautiful Melbourne town!

We would love to pay it forward and learn about Melbourne!

::: You’re in too Jeannie. We think we’re really going to enjoy showing off beautiful Melbourne town! :) :) !

  2. Yes I would love to be involved with this game.
It’s always exciting to receive a package in the mail and so much fun to put one together to send out.

::: We agree Maureen. While we couldn’t get my without email these days, there’s nothing quite like receiving something in the mail which is NOT a bill! … Into ‘the hat’ you go! :) :)

  3. I’d love to play!

::: That’s great Amy. We’ll pop your name in ‘the hat’! :) :)

I would have loved to participate in this but I don’t have a blog……I have had penfriends for my students in Texas this year….. One of my students is only interested in what the children eat…… as I read each child’s comments from their drawings they sent us……..

::: Penfriends are a great way to connect our children with the world Jennifer. I must admit food from other countries always fascinates me too! :) :)

Good Morning from Geelong. I know I’m not in Melbourne, but just 1 hour down the road, I am a Family Day Care Educator and care and educate children in my home. I would love to be part of this. What a great way to learn about the global community.

We often talk about places around the world and our community, and this is a great way to extend on the learning. We have a map on the wall and mark out all the places we have visited and have family or friends living.

I was only thinking last week about contacting other services around Australia and the world and sending a ‘teddy or Toy’ on an adventure to learn about different places and cultures.

Please consider me and the kids even though we aren’t quite in Melbourne.

::: Nicole we had a discussion on our Facebook page recently about penpals and a traveling teddy. You might like to check it out … http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=232318266783407&id=121305887884646 :) :)

Forgot to mention that I do not have a blog, but love the idea of receiving things in the mail or delivered to the door by the postie and watching the ids faces as we open them.

::: While this is a blogging game Nicole we LOVE the idea of the traveling teddy visiting kindergarten’s, schools and child carers all over the world!! :) :)

    This is my favorite blog!
I am a Prek-4 Math Coach in Saskatchewan Canada. I would love to play your game ‘Pay it Forward’. I live my life with this attitude. It would be awesome to share the beauty of the Canadian Prairies (with a numeracy twist) with others around the world.

::: Awww thank you Susan … We’ll pop your name in the hat too! :) :)

    Hey, Nicole,
I am a FDC educator in Geelong too, I would love to be a part of your “teddy on tour” experience, as would my DC children. Are you going to the EYLF seminar on 30th July? perhaps we could catch up?

::: Leanne here is a contact email for the travelling teddy … Lauren at jells.park.kin@kindergarten.vic.gov.au :) :)
