::: a genuine-blue-Nashville-fly-swatter-guitar!
Inside the pay it forward parcel we recieved from Scott over at Brick by Brick …

was this awesome genuine-blue-Nashville-fly-swatter-guitar! (Try saying that 3 times quickly!)

While Donna was away recently enjoying some family time with her young nieces and nephew…

her niece Kate, asked her if she had an orange bag she could sew into, an idea she got from an activity her big sister did in school.

Unfortunately she didn’t have an orange bag but she did have some hessian and an embroidery hoop! But it wasn’t really what Kate was wanting!

“Hey Donna, could I try using this?”

Sure! Go for it!

With the addition of some colourful pony beads …

she was off and sewing.

Great exercise for small fingers!

Who would have thought a fly swatter could be so versatile …

a great addition to the fly swatter painting idea we picked up from Teacher Tom!

Now that is one very cool genuine-blue-Nashville-fly-swatter-guitar!

They have decorated guitars around Nashville……… this one would make a perfect addition
::: Too funny! We didn’t know that that Jennifer … How cool!!

That is extremely cool! I thought about painting with it but not sewing in it. I didn’t get one of these for myself, but now…. Well, I guess I’m headed back to the downtown stores to get a flyswatter guitar!
::: Certainly painting with it was an idea Scott … our idea. The brilliant idea of sewing it came directly from Kate!

Now i’m off to the cheap shop when I can, to find some interesting shapes of flyswatters….thanks Kate (and co!)
::: Good idea Louise … I’ve seen them in the shape of thongs, insects, even Australia!

This looks amazing! If the kids could bear to add paint onto their beautiful sewing they could still swat it onto paper to take some great prints!
::: That’s true Ruth they could BUT they actually did something else to it which we’ll post about after the holidays!

That is quite simply FABULOUS! and I would say collect as many of those swatters as you can just for that purpose! Wouldn’t it be great if they came in a range of shapes and colours? Love it
::: Anna we’ve seen them in all sort of shapes and colours – fruit, hands, insects, rectangular … even thongs (flip flops) and the shape of Australia!

Agree with previous poster–simply FABULOUS!! I shared the idea on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/nomoreworksheets
::: Thanks Leslie … it is kinda cool isn’t it?! Thanks for sharing it on your page too.
