::: 6 little ducks
At Highvale Preschool they hatched ducklings …
after obtaining some eggs from “Hatch on the Run“.
The teachers said that the children just loved them, in some ways more so than the chickens they have had in the past as they are more interactive.
At times during the day they took the ducklings out of their box and popped them in a big container on the floor with tubs of water for them to swim in and planks set up for them to walk along. The ducklings seem to enjoy playing, just like the excited children who watched them!
The staff had put out orange and yellow paint on tables and at the easels …
and some wonderful duck paintings emerged …
all different and original.
While we were there we noticed the children also enjoying a duck story area …
and imaginative play corner.
What’s that they say about ducks …
“If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck!”
Or maybe a chicken!

I’m so excited! I have been looking for a company to do duckling hatching. They look so cute! I will be booking for later on this year.
