::: # 5 – fine motor magic

There is something about those shiny glass stones you find in the discount shops that all children are drawn to. Is it the size? Is it the feel? Is the colours? Maybe it’s the fact we call them treasure stones that draw our children in. Whatever the reason they certainly love playing with them.

In this post we popped them out with a old old picture frame we had in the store room. You should see the fun they had with them!

    I am really enjoying your trip down memory lane. And seeing some things I don’t remember seeing before. (Surely I’ve been reading your blog forever!)

    Hope you are enjoying your break.

    ::: We are having a lovely break thanks Scott! So glad you are enjoying the journey. :) :)

    I have a little basket full of these that I kept as treasures from when I was little! My daughter is currently sticking them in some playdough, she used them as ‘presents’ under the dolls house christmas tree, they’ve been fish in the sea, merchandise in her shop and quite often get thrown for the cats to chase! And she only turned 2 a few months back! They are probably our most versatile toy.. and I still think they are so beautiful!

    ::: You’re right Louise they are so simple, so versatile, so cheap and yet so beautiful – even to adults! :) :)
