::: more DIY stamps
After the children had experimented with making their own stamps we gave them some lumps of plasticine to make into another type of stamp, an idea we picked up from the wonderful Filth Wizardry blog.

They rolled the plasticine into balls …

flattened them onto bottle tops …

then dug into them to make their own designs.

Again, they pressed their stamps onto the stamp pad and voila!

Their own designs!

The children used all sorts of bits and pieces to create their designs

No two were the same!

The beauty of the plasticine was the children could easily reshape it …

and use it over and over again!

::: Be careful what you wish for Louise those lids will end up breeding in the cupboards! Actually while you’re in Melbourne next week you should visit Reverse Art truck. You can usually pick up heaps of lids there.

Really love this idea! We’ve just started doing a bit of stamping, and this method is just perfect for us.
::: Have fun with it Belle!

I taught middle school for eight years, which in Florida is grades 6-8, and my students would have loved this idea. Now I’m a SAHM of two adventurous, creative and energetic boys who LOVE LOVE LOVE stamps. How thrilling it will be for them to be able to create their very own.
Keep those fantastic ideas coming!!!
