::: autumn leaf threading

Now the autumn leaves have been completely stripped from the trees at kinder …

winter has definitely arrived.

We’d like to share with you what we did with the last of our autumn leaves.

Taa daa … these gorgeous autumn coloured threading’s.

The beautiful colours in the patty pans and honeycomb foil looked stunning …

against the crisp dried leaves …

and threading them provided a wonderful challenge for the children’s fine motor skills.

Always a very popular activity, the colourful threadings really warmed the place up!

    LOVE IT!!! It’s hard to remember you guys are having winter while we are broiling over here in the states…Anyways, I cannot wait to do this with my kiddos this fall! Where do you get that honeycomb foil?

    ::: Erin it came from “Bellbird” a local supplier here in Melbourne, I’ll send you the link. Maybe you have a similar supplier where you live? :) :)

    These are beautiful, Donna, although I don’t think I’ll ever get used to seeing your kids indoors!

    That photo of the playground makes it look so cooooold in Melbourne :)

    Loving the leaf threading – we did this with wooden beads and leaves and that worked well too. Like your kids, ours are always up for threading!
    I’m a bit enamoured of that honeycomb foil.

  7. Winter is well and truly here in Perth! Love your threading, gorgeous.
