::: fishing pond

If you have been following our activites, you will be aware that we love our bush box which Donna’s husband, Colin, made for us.

P1180091

We have adapted it for many uses and placed it in various spots around the room.

P1210866

It’s wonderful for imaginary play.

And it’s proven to be indispensable in our room!

P1280059

At this early stage of the year, we have made it into a fishing pond.

P1270009

The ground is green card and material, the water is blue card with plants, rocks and logs popped in for more interest.

P1280061

Lovely for just one or two players …

or even more!

    Wow, once again you have inspired me. Is the bush box inside or outside? Does it have a base, or is it just edging. I have one very handy mum and I’d love her to come in and help make us one of these. I’ve been using the water trough, either in the frame or on the floor to create environments with bark, wood chips, hay etc but its just not big enough. This looks amazing.

    Jenny, We always have it inside and it does have a base which we have sealed so tankbark and sand etc., doesn’t escape and it is a great size isn’t it? When it is pulled away from the wall many children can fit in and around it which is wonderful for social play. Good luck with getting one made because you’re right … it is amazing!
